Dr. Matt Malcolm, OT, PhD

Matt Malcolm, PHD, OTR is a rehabilitation scientist and occupational therapist. He received his BS in occupational therapy from the University at Buffalo in 1996 and received his PHD in rehabilitation science from the University of Florida in 2003. Dr. Malcolm is an Associate Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy at Colorado State University, with a joint appointment in Health and Exercise Science. He also directs the NeuroRehabilitation Resesearch Laboratory at CSU and was awarded the College of Applied Human Sciences Scholarly Excellence Award in 2008. Dr. Malcolm has expertise in helping individuals resume greater function and abilities following injury. His research has been supported by grants from the National Institutes of Health and American Heart Association. Dr. Malcolm has published his research in the journals Neurorehabilitation and Neural Repair, the Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Neuroscience Letters, Clinical Neurophysiology, and Topics in Stroke Rehabilitation to name a few. He is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Rehabilitation Research
and Development.
